Utility Local Improvement District

(U.L.I.D)

WHAT IS IT?

A Utility Local Improvement District (ULID) is a process that enables the

District to use long term tax-exempt financing to install utility infrastructure

improvements to serve properties in a particular area once the properties

have been annexed into the service area.  This process allows property

owners the advantage of low interest rates and up to 20 years to pay

for the cost of the improvements.

For a more comprehensive explanation of what a ULID is, please

refer to the attached pdf describing in detail a ULID.
